BSS set to take to the water for its second ‘Challenge Cup’

BSS Challenge Cup

After proving to be hugely successful with suppliers and customers last year, a fleet of 15 boats is preparing to take to the Solent for the second ‘BSS Industrial Challenge Cup’ on 24th -26th June 2010.

The BSS Industrial regatta is a three day event which celebrates the strong relationships between all parties and gives everyone the chance to renew business relationships - with some competitive sailing added for good measure. With big names on board such as last year's winner, Pegler Yorkshire, 2010 promises to see an even closer fight to the finish line.

Guests will arrive at the Port Hamble Marina near Southampton on the 24th June to meet their teams and be briefed by their skipper. After a spot of lunch, the 15 teams will have the opportunity to practice before the real racing commences the following day.

Frank Elkins, Managing Director of BSS Industrial, said: "Our ethos is to build extremely close relationships with suppliers and our customers so that we can develop the most mutually beneficial partnerships for all involved. The regatta is the ultimate event to bring us all together, celebrate our successes and cement plans for the future.

"Last year's event was sunny with good sailing conditions, so after the poor weather we've had in May, we're praying for it to get a bit brighter before we hit the waves. With many of our guests returning from last year plus some new faces, the competition is really on to claim the top spot."
